Foreclosure Education

The State of Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program (FMP) supports homeowner education offered by various agencies located throughout Nevada. The FMP also participates in various homeowner events throughout the year sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), FreddieMac, FannieMae, financial institutions, and various other community and governmental groups.

Education events are held monthly and in some cases held weekly. Consult the Event Calendar for specific events in your area.

Free Foreclosure Mediation Classes

These FMP-sponsored classes cover the following:

• How the Foreclosure Process Works.
• What to Expect in Mediation.
• How to Make Your Best Case for Loan Modification, Short Sale or Other Resolution.
• Free Legal Information Manual, including forms, samples and legal information.
